BETHESDA WORSHIP CENTER (WORD OF FAITH),was founded in 1997 in Baba Ndogo, Lucky summer estate as I, Pastor Patroba Mukenya, went to pray for a sickly widow who had visited several hospitals in vain. God healed her on the spot and she ran to tell other people what had happened to her through the power Christ.  We started a fellowship in her house thereafter and started expanding and many more people accepting the Word of God and Jesus was healing people daily. In 1998, we looked for a rental place to start a church with about 25 people and this place is in between four major slums, Gomongo, Korogocho, Karatutu and Kitwambe, who used to brew alcohol and also crime infested because of idleness and the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ had not reached to them. We started door to door evangelism, open air meetings and crusades and to the moment, there are many worshipers who have turned their souls to Christ. We have also started a nursery school in the church that helps children from the slums and also the orphans. Up to date, God has helped us, from 25 church members, we are now 350 members and have 4 homes, nursery school.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

To be non-profit nor political, religious organization based on the following statements of the Christian faith:

We believe in Jesus power to save, heal and sustain Christians to live Holy and pure lives

We believe in observance of mass waters baptism to the saved, public Holy matrimony, dedication of children and the Lord’s Supper as commanded in the Holy Bible.

We believe in baptism of the Holy Ghost according to Acts 2:4, 10:46, 19:6 and present ministry in and through the believers and manifest in ministries, gifts and fruits of the Holy spirit (Eph 4:11; 1 Cor 12:9-11; Gal 5:22-23)
